It's highly opponent dependent.
Against an extremely soft field in a deep enough cash game, limping a lot of hands
can be a wise strategy.
Unfortunately, I doubt you'll find a lot of soft enough games that'll allow you so many cheap flops.
Tough players will try to take you out of your comfort zone,
raising a lot of hands light knowing you limp with a lot of hands that can't stand a raise
Even if the game doesn't involve tough players, it may simply involve maniac type players
who'll raise lots of hands simply because they'd like to gamble, play bigger pots, and receive a lot of action in return.
Other games are simply not deep enough to give you the proper implied odds to play a lot of marginal hands OOP, even if pots stay small preflop and multiway.
